Even since starting vanagon instrument cluster repair business, I have seen broken instrument cluster a lot. They are prone to broken or eventually broken anyway.
This instrument cluster repair takes me most of repair hour so I decide to make a plastic patch part to save time and reenforce the plastic housing.
It is a small plastic part, CAD designed, 3D printed, see below CAD preview
Usually the screw holes are broken because of aging or improper install. This is the area need to be patched.
First need to check how much you need to cut the broken area on the plastic housing
